IATL Pure Championship
From IATLwiki
The I AM THE LAW.net (IATL) Pure Championship is a Bags World Heavyweight Championship title. It is the second world title of IATL.net.
Rules
Matches for the IATL Pure Championship were conducted under Pure Bags Rules. The three Pure Bags Rules are:
- Each contestant has three rope breaks to stop submission holds and pinfalls during the match. After a contestant exhausts his rope breaks, submission and pin attempts under the ropes by the opponent are considered legal.
- There are no closed-fist punches to the face allowed in a Pure match, only open-handed slaps or chops to the face are allowed. Punches to other parts of the body (save for low-blows) are permitted. The first use of a closed fist will get a warning, and the second will cause the contestant to be penalized a rope break. If he is already out of rope breaks, he will be disqualified.
- A contestant is subject to a twenty count by the referee if the contestant goes to the floor.
While not a rule itself, it is worth noting that unlike other championships, the IATL Pure Championship could have changed hands on a disqualification or count out.
History
The IATL Pure Championship was created on September 20th, 2008. As with the IATL Championship, Hagaki credits himself as the first title holder, even before such a title existed. The IATL Pure Championship does not have a physical belt, but is a title only. It is a completely seperate championship from the IATL Championship. Unlike the IATL Championship, the Pure Championship can only be contested in a game of BAGZ (BAGS).
Current champion
Karl is the current champion after defeating Hagaki.
